It’s no secret that Altcoins - and the products and services that support them - can come and go pretty quickly.
CoinNext, which launched in late 2013, recently announced they are closing up shop via their blog.
Here is the statement they issued concerning their decision to close:
Sadly Coinnext will be shutting down permanently one month from now, on the 24th of July 2014. From this moment on we have halted all markets and do no longer accept any new deposits.
Please withdraw all your funds from our site at your earliest convenience. After the 24th you will no longer be able to withdraw your funds. If your funds still remain at our site after closing, we stay available through email to sort it out, but it can take considerably longer.
After one month in operation we’ve welcomed over 1,800 users doing over 14,000 trades. We want to thank you all for your support during our short term in existence.
I want to reiterate that all your funds are safe and available for withdrawal, we are not hacked.
All users of CoinNext exchange are advised to withdraw any coins on their exchange at their earliest convenience.
